Montalvo Tequila Awarded Two Gold Medals in 2013 Spirits of Mexico Tasting Competition

Montalvo Tequila

Montalvo Spirits, Inc. is proud to announce that Montalvo Tequila was awarded Gold Medals in the Reposado Tequila and Anejo Tequila categories for the 10th Annual Spirits of Mexico Tasting Competition, held by the IWSC Group.

"Being awarded Gold Medals for both our Reposado and Anejo is a wonderful accomplishment for Montalvo Tequila," says Montalvo's CEO Alex Viecco. "We are especially proud of our acknowledgement from such an esteemed panel of judges in a completely blind tasting," added Viecco.

The Spirits of Mexico Tasting Competition took place on September 15th and 16th. Internationally recognized industry experts, in a blind tasting, selected which brands were awarded the coveted 2013 Spirits of Mexico Medals. Brands are judged on five essential characteristics: appearance, aromatics, flavor, mouthfeel and finish. Each of these subsets has varying ultimate scores, with aromatics and flavor scoring the highest possible points.
