Singer Anita Lerche to Appear at An Evening Celebrating Christel House India

Anita Lerche



She commands the stage with her presence and musical talent. A fair Danish singer with a mastery of the Punjabi language, Anita Lerche, won the MH1 Punjabi Music Award for Best Non-Resident Indian Female Debut. She was the Danish voice of Barbie in Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3, and is graciously donating her talents to promote Indian culture and build awareness for the work of Christel House at ‘An Evening Celebrating Christel House India’ on Tuesday, December 17.

The concert will be held at the Cook Theater, Indiana Landmark Center in Indianapolis. There is no cost for the event, but guests are asked to register by December 6 at: EventBrite.

Christel House India learning centers are located in Bangalore and Lavasa, India and provide high-quality education, nutrition, health care, and career development to more than 1,300 impoverished children. The average Christel House India family lives on only about $3.50 per day.

An Evening Celebrating Christel House India is co-hosted by Dr. Jaswant and Raj Gidda, the Indianapolis Hyderabad Sister City Committee, Don and Jen Knebel, Michael and Mette Køehn Milland, and Gail Shiel.
