Tucson headquartered Thunder Canyon Brewery won the Bronze Medal in the Cream Stout category at this past weekend’s Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado for their Dark Lightning Milk Stout brew.

The Great American Beer Festival invites industry professionals from around the world to participate in a blind taste-testing of beers in each specified style category. Ultimately, the goal of the Great American Beer Festival Judge Panel is to identify the three beers that best represent each beer-style category as described and adopted by the Great American Beer Festival.

The judging panel awards gold, silver, or bronze medals that are recognized around the world as symbols of brewing excellence. These awards are among the most coveted in the industry. Of the 4,809 beers entered in 84 categories, Thunder Canyon Brewery’s Dark Lightning Milk Stout won the Bronze Medal in the Cream Stout category.

To try the award-winning Dark Lightning Milk Stout, visit Thunder Canyon Brewery at either of their two locations; Downtown at 220 E. Broadway, or Foothills Mall at 7401 N. La Cholla.
